b2g-info now subsumes b2g-procrank and b2g-ps
Dear all, I just merged b2g-info, a tool which gives you information about b2g processes running on a device, into gonk-misc. You can get this new tool by running ./repo sync and then rebuilding with ./build.sh. b2g-info is meant to subsume b2g-procrank and b2g-ps. It (hopefully) outputs all of the useful information from b2g-ps, b2g-procrank, b2g-procrank --nice, and b2g-procrank --oom plus some additional data in a (hopefully) easier-to-digest format. b2g-info is also faster than b2g-procrank, which makes a difference if you're running b2g-info repeatedly from a script. ...

We have been discussing forceAuthentication, but there are other B2G features that must be merged into dev. So that JedP and I can prioritize, bisect, and tackle, can we get a list of features and any dependencies they have on other features? dev.b2g and dev.gaia redundancy?
I'm relatively new to the project but I see more overlap than not lately in the dev.b2g and dev.gaia newsgroups. Are the original motivations for having distinct groups still still applicable? Would things be easier for more people if we collapsed down to one group? b2g-dialer-test repo name change to b2g-dialer-daemon
What started as a quick reverse engineering project for figuring out how the dialer works is now an actual project we'll be using as part of B2G. We'll need the utilities in the repo to be able to access the phone socket and have gecko actually dial. So, I've changed the github repo to: http://www.github.com/kmachulis-mozilla/b2g-dialer-daemon/ Please update your remotes accordingly. B2G mochitests now use mochitest.ini manifests instead of b2g.json
For awhile now we've been using these hacky JSON based manifests to enable and disable mochitests on B2G. Now, thanks to the work of an awesome contributor (vaibhav1994), all the B2G mochitests are using the mochitest.ini format. This allows us to annotate tests with metadata, like whether the test should be skipped or not. What does this mean for you? If you are enabling/disabling, or adding a new mochitest, you now need to edit the 'mochitest.ini' file which lives in the same directory as your test file. Proposal to change B2G branch names in gecko.git to include "b2g"
Hi, everyone. I'd like to ask the group if anyone has an objection to naming our b2g branches something like "b2g-vX_Y_Z" in gecko.git [1]. I think the simplest thing to do is probably to copy the name from the hg repository, but I don't feel strongly about the specifics, so long as the name has "b2g" in it. Right now, the b2g relbranches are being named "vX_Y_Z". b2g-dialer-daemon submodule move
Well, subject pretty much says it all, but: b2g-dialer-daemon is in the process of being renamed to rilproxy. I've moved the repo and renamed it in B2G, but when you do a make sync, you'll have both a glue/gonk/b2g-dialer-daemon and a glue/gonk/rilproxy. Since the android make system wildcards everything in, it'll try to build 2 b2g-dialer-daemons, which will cause it to fail. So, after you've got a glue/gonk/rilproxy, delete the glue/gonk/b2g-dialer-daemon directory by hand. ...

Where are "b2g-bin" and Gaia's profile located in Pandaboard's B2G build?
Hi fellow citizens of the free software world, For the B2G desktop build, we can pass arguments to "b2g-bin" to run B2G with a specific resolution or to run specific apps. However I can't find either "b2g-bin" or the Gaia profile directory on the Pandaboard's B2G build. What can we do to get access to "b2G-bin" on the Pandaboard?
