App manager and Dev Apps

Hello,

I am experiencing problems to debug apps loaded in the App Manager. I don't
have this problem if the App is downloaded from the Marketpalce and
debugged with the App Manager. Is there a known problem to debug Dev Apps,
loaded from a directory in your computer?

Thanks,

Juanma

Merging dev-gaia and dev-b2g into dev-fxos
--001a113ce93ebce35d051e4c0c73 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8 Hello people of Firefox OS, After a discussion we have decided that the distinction between dev-gaia and dev-b2g mailing lists is not enough to warrant maintaining two lists. So we are deprecating both in favor of dev-fxos. So if you are subscribed to one of the aforementioned lists, you will be subscribed to the new dev-fxos list and we will shortly be decommissioning dev-gaia and dev-b2g. Thanks! dev.b2g and dev.gaia redundancy?
I'm relatively new to the project but I see more overlap than not lately in the dev.b2g and dev.gaia newsgroups. Are the original motivations for having distinct groups still still applicable? Would things be easier for more people if we collapsed down to one group? Is that an awful idea? - A +1, half the emails are sent to both lists to take it further I am sitting alone in #fxos on irc On 4 December 2013 00:22, Asa Dotzler <asa@mozilla.com> wrote: > I'm relatively new to the project but I see more overlap than not lately > in the dev.b2g and dev....

Debugging Certified Apps with the App Manager
After the recent security discussion around remote debugging, debugging of certified apps is now blocked by default as part of bug 915067 (and this won't be modifiable on production devices). I realize there is still some discussion around this decision in other threads, but mainly I wanted to make sure it was clear how to debug certified apps now that this change has landed. If you have a developer build of 1.2 and would like to enable debugging of certified apps on your device, I've added the necessary steps[1] on the App Manager wiki page. We're hoping come up wit...

Determining if an app is a web app or a windows app
Hi all,  I'm writing a generic utilites class and one of the methods needs to get the physical path of the application. I know Server.MapPath("~") gets the server path of the app for windows and also that Application.ExecutablePath gets the path for windows app. Now how would i determine which app is a windows app or a web app?   Thanks in advance. add a reference to system.web and then do the following  if (System.Web.HttpContext.Current == null)            {       &...

App inside an app....
HeyI have a main app (my site) inside which I want a link to another little project app that I'm working on. When I try to stick the new project app inside a folder within the main app I get this error:It is an error to use a section registered as allowDefinition='MachineToApplication' beyond application level.  This error can be caused by a virtual directory not being configured as an application in IIS.I've looked around at some of the posts on this and it says I need to set the mini app up as a virtual folder, however I'm running VWDE and IIS isn't install...

apps run in dev but not prod
this has happened to me before but i can't recall what the issue was..... i develop an app on my dev box. the app hits a particular oracle database using a username/password i set in code. it works fine. but when i move the working app over to my prod box, i get an "invalid username/password" error when the code attempts to hit the database. it's almost as if there is a higher level of access which overrides what is in my code. i think before i discovered that there is some account called something like ASPNET somewhere. anyone know why this happens?  ...

Writing apps on github, or B2G's app-per-origin model
This is an OpenPGP/MIME signed message (RFC 4880 and 3156) --cE49RenvJhh5mDoE357281OW66uW6EqW3 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=utf-8 Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable (as a side-note to "a fight for customization") As a third-party developer, am I the only one who finds the one-app-per-origin model an annoyance? Among other things, it prevents me from hosting my applications on github (account Foo can only host a single app, as its domain is http://foo.github.io), or on my personal webpage (http://foo.myisp.com has the same issue). How far-reaching would i...

Mastering Web App. Dev. with Visual InterDev
I am trying to learn about web dev using Interdev. I have a CD with the title in the subject line. It includes several lab exercises that require IIS or Personal Web Server. However I am running Windows XP Home addition which does not include either. I installed ASP.Net Web Matrix but it doesn't like .ASP files. Questions: Can I use Web-Matrix for these exercises? If so, how? Should I use Apache instead? Any links with clues how? Thanks, Jeff exactly. WebMatrix/Cassini are ASP.NET only XP Home Does NOT include IIS no, you can't use webmatrix for 'classic' ...
