SeaMonkey 2.0 vs. 2.1 - problems handling message attachments

Having View -> Display Attachments Inline unchecked:

1. Attach a plain text message to a new plain text message;
2. Save as draft or send to yourself;
3. Try to open the attached message clicking on it in the
Attachments box of the preview of the new message.

In this scenario I get constant crash like:

https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/index/bp-bf400608-52d2-42e9-aa45-7dc5b2110618

The same opens a message window with the message attachment just
fine in SeaMonkey 2.0.

Another case:

1. Attach a plain text message having a ZIP attachment to a new
plain text message;
2. Save as draft or send to yourself;
3. Try to open the attached message clicking on it in the
Attachments box of the preview of the new message.

A browser window is opened with content of what it seems like raw
dump of the zip attachment - starts with "PK".

The same opens a message window with the message attachment just
fine in SeaMonkey 2.0.

I've tried the above cases work fine with Thunderbird 3.1 and latest
5.0b2 nightlies. I observe the same problem behavior with latest
SeaMonkey 2.2 and 2.3a2 builds, also. Here are crash reports with them:

SeaMonkey 1.1.18 vs SeaMonkey 2.1 (if/when 2.1 is released)
I will clearly state that I am not a computer whiz...thus, I have a number of concerns regarding SeaMonkey 2.0 installation on my system. I have been reading the many SeaMonkey 2.0 messages on this newsgroup with some concern about my ability to fix the problems that could occur with the installation of 2.0. It seems that the move from 1.1.18 to 2.0 is not happening without a number of glitches along the way. Thus, in light of what I have read, I am wondering if it would wise for me to wait for a future release of SeaMonkey before upgrading my system...I suppose I am hoping tha...

Same profile in Seamonkey 2.4.1 and Seamonkey 2.6.1 ?
Hi, I will switch a computer from windows to linux and from Seamonkey 2.6.1 to Seamonkey 2.4.1 (I don't know why Ubuntu only have 2.6.1 on Precise alpha release). I think there no big differences between these two releases that will bring bug into profile. Am I false? On my computer I directly use Seamonkey from Mozilla, on that computer I don't want to have work, so I only keep Ubuntu repositories. -- Sorry for possible mistakes in English! http://pasdenom.info/ Stphane Grgoire wrote: > Hi, > > I will switch a computer from windows to linux and...

SeaMonkey 2.0.14 to 2.1
Hello, Everybody, I was on SeaMonkey today [7/2/1] after a month or a month and half due of my hectic work schedule since I feel like working two jobs [grin] so, anyway, I have the freetime to check on SeaMonkey. I use 2.0.14 as my current version. I clicked "Help > Check for updates" but, no update is available, it says to me. I went to "More Projects" off the Mozilla's website. Found SeaMonkey. I found out that the latest version is 2.1. I am surprised that SeaMonkey client didn't pick the update. I wonder, is it safe to download the executable file d...
