Is it just me or has the Fandango site stopped working with FF (1.5.0.7, 1.5.0.9, 2.0) on eComStation 1.2 ?
Hi all, I've possibly messed up my Firefox installations, but other pages still seem to work OK. Has anyone else had problems recently with http://www.fandango.com ? The home page comes up, and then completely hangs my system, and even if I ctrl-alt-delete and kill Firefox with TOP, I just get a black screen and have to re-boot. It used to work fine. If it's just me, does anyone have any advice for what might be happening or how to go about figuring it out ? Upgrading from 1.0.9 to 2.1.1
I currently have a 1.0.9 DNN site in production, working away happily. I would like to upgrade to 2.1.1, but do not want to thave this site down for days while I mess around with fiddly details trying to get the upgrade done. I have people who depend on this site being up. I tried to fond some upgrade documentation on the dotnetnuke.com site, but was unsuccessful. I don't want to jump into this size of an upgrade with my eyes closed, so I am asking for you help. Has anyone got some pointers, warnings, war stories etc. that you can share so as to save me (and others who may be in the same boat) some unwanted grief? Thanks. I would pull a copy of the site and DB down to my local machine then do test the upgrade there. If everything goes fine then you can either try and upgrade on-line or probably a better course just FTP the upgraded site and DB back into production. That way if you have problems thne you will be able to correct them before putting the site into production hth BruceDynamicVB.Net Thanks Bruce, That's exactly what I will do. I will put up a clean 2.1.1 install and move all my portals to the new code base. Once I'm happy with it all, I will switch the IIS alias to the new code base. Should avoid any downtime that way. Marc. did you actually do the upgrade and if so how did you do it. if I try the automatic upgrade the process bombs out with cannot find version query and version table I have a production site using 1....

Towards 1.0.9 and 1.1.2
Hi developers, As you might know, a new round of Gecko branch releases is planned for the next weeks, 1.8.1.4 will offer the newest updates for the current stable series, and 1.8.0.12 is planned to mark the last official 1.8.0.x release, as always, Mozilla folks are doing those Gecko releases as parts of the new Firefox ones, the schedule being up at http://wiki.mozilla.org/Firefox:1.5.0.12-2.0.0.4 Again, we're planning to do synchronized SeaMonkey versions along with those, with 1.1.2 being the new stable release, and 1.0.9 being the last time we're updating the 1....

SeaMonkey 1.0.1 and Firefox 1.5, 2.0, 3.0 version can be said to be a same at code level
Dear, I am pursuing my research in the field of sotware maintainence at preventive level. i had published some of my research paper in ACM SIGSOFT SEN. As per my research i designed the metrics model for smelly classes with the help of firefox three versions and then i had validated or tested the metrics model with the one version of SeaMonkey. I got the review upon my research that SeaMonkey and Firefox are same at the code level. These cannot be treated as two different data set. But what i had read is they both only usage the same Gecko engine from your website. Some more from yo...

SeaMonkey 2.1
An increasing number of features are diverging between Gecko 1.9.2 and Gecko 1.9.3; this gives us a number of options, with pros and cons for each, but please don't consider this an exhaustive list. 1. Stick with 1.9.2 for now, don't use 1.9.3 features at all * Pro: We know what features we have to port * Con: Lots of catching up on trunk after comm-central forks/after releasing 2.1 2. Write code using feature detection for 1.9.3/backward compatibility for 1.9.2 * Pro: More flexible than any other option * Con: Some 1.9.3 features can't easily be used compatibly 3. Stick with 1.9.3 for now, people can try building against 1.9.2 but some features might not work; drop 1.9.2 after comm-central forks (anyone desperately interested could potentially back out the 1.9.3 specific code on the branch) * Pro: Thunderbird needs to be 1.9.2-compatible anyway * Con: 1.9.2 not officially supported or unsupported 4. Drop 1.9.2 now; don't accept code using feature detection or compatibility * Pro: Our best chance of catching up with Firefox 3.7 * Con: No going back -- Warning: May contain traces of nuts.
