Beta version of the Firefox Accessibility Extension 1.1 with ARIA support available

A new beta version of the Firefox Accessibility Extension is available from the Firefox Extension website that implements features to debug web pages using the new W3C ARIA specifications [1,2,3]:

http://firefox.cita.uiuc.edu#beta

The features are under the "Scripting" menu and Toolbar options.

-----------------------------------------------------
Beta Test Pages

There are also some beta versions of ARIA test pages at:
http://www.disability.uiuc.edu/ita/brasic/citaweb/test/aria/

NOTE: Please do not link to these test pages, since the final url will be in a different location.

We are currently modifying the test pages to be compatible with the rendering capabilities of IE and other browsers.

Your feedback on the Firefox extension and ARIA test pages is much appreciated.

Jon

Great, thanks!

Just a quick nit on the slider implementation --
it needs to cancel the events for keystrokes it
uses. Right now, the arrow key is scrolling the
page as well as moving the slider.

Firefox 3.1/Gecko 1.9.1 Beta 1 Freeze Date
All, We've discussed this a bit already, but I think it makes sense to nail down a date for the Beta 1 freeze date. Beta 1 is a feature freeze, so if you have a feature you are working on, it's time to start wrapping it up. After discussing dates with quite a few people and hearing people ask for more time, August 19th seems appropriate. That's a Tuesday, and we can take a look in that day's Firefox 3.1 meeting to see where things stand. Any concerns regarding this date? Other things I'm noticing/watching/obsessing over: * There's still ab...
