Spam, spam, spam, spam
I sent this message to my anti-spam customers today!
Greetings to our anti-spam customers!
A few of our customers have expressed concern over the amount of spam that
is being delivered to your mailboxes. Alas, spam is back up to almost
incomprehensible numbers. Postini estimates 94% of all email is now spam.
Here is an interesting article about it:

Here is a goody.. Does anyone know of a way to extract the list of
blocked e-mail domains (about 2000) from a client's account (mine) so
can use to to create a block list at the GWIA?

There must be dozens of ways to stop spam in email, too bad there's no
way to stop snail mail and phone spam. The upcoming elections here in
Arizona have the usual candidates and we also have a whole bunch of
propositions on the ballot causing dozens of recorded messages left on
my answering machine and huge amounts of junk mail touting candidates
or ballot propositions (not to mention the non-stop TV and radio ads).
Unfortunately, nobody considers political candidates or groups
representing ballot propositions as spammers, I guess there's no way to

I have finally found a use for SPAM.
Recently I have got into writing short stories (of a rather "not for here"
nature) and some of the names the mail is purportedly being sent from has
become a good source of character names.
Keep em coming I say.

I'm getting strange emails which I don't understand why it sent.
The originator address is always different.
The body of the message is a variation of the same theme but again never the same:

You are very good, thank you!

So since dev-tech-xpcom closed, there's been an awful lot of traffic
on dev-platform from platform users. I don't really have time to
read this, and it probably means I'll be paying less attention to
the platform developer traffic on dev-platform (if any at all; I'd
long since unsubscribed to dev-tech-xpcom until told to resubscribe
to follow the XPCOM memory management discussion).
Does this discussion belong on dev-platform, or should it be

Maybe. But the anti-spam community has probably already considered this and
discarded it because of the false-positives and extra bandwidth consumed,

Nicolas Jondet, 12 May 2007
On Thursday, the French government launched Signal Spam, an anti-spam
platform created in association with public entities and private
companies, such as Microsoft. Internet users will be able to report spam
messages by mailing them to this platform which will act as a
centralised monitor of spamming activities. The platform will generate a
blacklist and help initiate prosecutions against spammers.
