Local Port Scanner Question v 1.2.2

Hi,

When I run the Trojan Port query it reports the following ports as "Open"

9400, 1243, 5000, 6667, 12345, 20034 and 27374

I use Zone Alarm Pro v2.6.231 and TDS-3. TDS-3 verbally says "TCP connection
request.." Does this mean that the above ports are in fact "open" to
attack?

I use ZAPro on High setting for both "local" and "Internet"
zones....shouldnt ZAPro block the port?

Thanks for you help and time

You see, TDS is just like Lockdown 2000. In order to catch port probes, it
opens some well known trojan ports. When anyone scans these ports or even
try to connect to them, TDS gives an alert. To answer your question, the
open ports are caused by TDS itself. You are not open to attacks. If anyone
were to attempt to connect to these ports, TDS would catch them and generate
an alert.

In TDS-3 i have intialized the sockets...is this therefore why it tells me
that the port is open because it is actively "listening" to those ports?
(TDS also acts as "Server" in ZAPro)

From TDS-3:

From 2.1.2 to 3.1 or 2.1.2 to 3.0.13 to 3.1
I'm checking back in after being away for a couple of months and I missed the 3.1 release. I can't seem to find any info on what's new in 3.1 and also what the upgrade path should be. So, is the recommended path for upgrading from v 2.1.2 to go directly to 3.1 or do I need to go to 3.0.13 first? Are there any big issues in 3.1 that make it a "gotta have it" version?I did a couple of 2.1.2 to 3.0.12 upgrades but haven't upgraded to or tested 3.1 yet. I have one 2.1.2 site that is commercial and I need it to be down as little time as possible. It also has a lot of third party modules...

iManager 1.2.2 #2
Hi, I have a NW6 SP3 server which runs BM37. I am in the process of upgrading to BM38 and I am running through the pre-requests. One of which is to upgrade iManager to 2.0.1. This can be done by either install iManager on a networked PC or upgrading the version on the server. I have tried installing it on a PC however, after the install it reports some errors, when you look at the log file is VERY lenghty and doesn't mean much to me. When the browser opens it tries to connect on the ipaddress of the pc\imanager......It basically doesn't work. What I need is a meth...

From 2.1.2 to 3.2 ?
Hi everyone!I've been away from DNN for quite some time, feels good to be back. Hi to anyone who remembers me. Just starting to look at taking our intranet portal from 2.1.2 to, I guess, 3.2. We have 3rd party modules and custom code. Is there a best practice for the upgrade/migration? Just looking for some guidelines. Thanks in advance. I'm no expert, but I too had a 2.12 site in which I migrated to 3.1.1While researching the migration, many suggested that I had to remove all of my third party modules first.  Then perform the upgrade.  Then add as many third party DNN 3.x mod...

Will migration from 2.1.2 to 2.2 be possible?
Hello, I was wondering if there will be plans to easily migrate from DNN 2.1.2 to DNN 2.2? I say easily because some people run thousands of portals on 1 DNN system. There should be an easy way to automatically migrate from old DNN to new. Is there going to be plans to allow this? If so, how will it work? Will any downsides exist? How about existing 2.1.2 skins and modules. Will they all work in DNN 2.2? How about the user model. Does that change in DNN 2.2? Right now its 1 username for the entire DNN server. Does DNN 2.2 have usernames unique to portals? If so, how w...
