Best payware password managers?

Can someone recommend a reliable, stable, secure, and
commercial password manager. I've tried most of the
freebies and feel insecure using them. I would pay well
for a first rate password manager. It's that important.

Can you elaborate on what felt insecure? Were they closed-source or
difficult to use in some manner?

Well, I'd start with a requirement that the password manager be open-source.

KeePass does a decent job, IMO.

But if that isn't to your liking, you might like LastPass.

I've tried both of those and had various problems with each.
I don't really want to go into that. I just want to go a different
direction and pay, if available, for the highest level of password
management I can find. And I don't want a pw manager that
has a free version and a 'Pro' version. I also just really want to
help support some of the software professionals out there.

Maybe you need to start thinking that what you want is not available YET.

Seems like an odd limitation to put in place.

Firefox Password Manager profiles or Norton Password Manager?
Hi, I am currently using Internet Explorer with Norton Password Manager. I just downloaded FireFox and noticed that it has a Password Manager internally. The advantage of using Norton Password Manager for me would be that I need to sign in in order to activate the (Norton) Password Manager so that not everyone would be able to use my passwords. If I would use Firefox' password manager then anyone using my browser would be able to use the passwords, right? Or is there some profile option in Firefox? Is it possible to use Norton Password Manager in combination with Firefox, and ...

Tools / Password manager / Manage stored passwords opens no window
I've been using Mozilla for a while. I'm using version 1.6. All my passwords are stored in the password manager. One email password is wrong (and stored by Mozilla) and, as it is not asking me to re-enter the password, I can't access my email account. So, I've tried to delete the wrong password but the password manager window does not open. I've reinstalled the french, the english, even the version 1.5 of Mozilla, but the window never opens. Password Manager should not show password if no Master Password set
In both Firefox 1.5 and 2.0, the password manager will show the saved password in clear text when no Master Password is set. There is a legitimate security concern here that the passwords can be easily stolen if someone gained access to the computer. After all, they are displayed in clear text. That being said, there is nothing wrong with the design of the firefox itself. All the user needs to do is to set a Master Password. But not every user who uses the Password Manager knows how importlant it is to set a Master Password. So some type of warning is almost necessary. I imple...
