Looking for a PDF solution that supports PDF/X-3:2002 standard

Hi,

I need a Delphi component that can create PDF files that support the
PDF/X-3:2002 standard.

I have a copy of wPDF but discovered that it does not fit my needs.

Please see:
http://www.wpcubed.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=16924&sid=c0c5d675bc03359519bb9acb0733b7b9

Could anyone recommend a component?

TIA.

While not a Delphi component, and not sure it meets your requirements,
you could check out the comprehensive PDF SKDs from http://PDFTron.com/

A couple of years ago we looked at a *lot* of different PDF libs and
components to convert jpegs to PDF and none of them did a good job
other than one of the SDK's from PDFTron.

AFAIK the PDF/X-3 requirements are close to PDF/A-1.

Our Open Source unit is able to generate PDF/A-1 so you may be able to create PDF/X-3 files, with minor fixes.
You can use our forum if you need help.

What minor fixes could be made to transform from PDF/A-1 to PDF/X-3?
where? in component code?

Problems with PDF files created by Firefox 3.x (and possibly TBird 3.x)
Hello all, recently I had to migrate from Firefox 2.x to 3.5/3.6. I have a workflow here where lots of webpages are printed into PDF files (done via PSCRIPT2 driver, GhostScript and ePDF up to now). So in theory, the builtin PrintPDF solution in Firefox 3.x should not be a real problem for me. Therefore I moved to Firefox 3.6.3 on all machines. However now, a few weeks (and several hundred PDFs) later I discovered 2 problems: 1.) The PDFs produced by Firefox come in Letter format, while I would need them in A4. This is especially annoying as Lucide cannot print these...

Looking for a PDF solution [Edit]
Hello, I am looking for a PDF component (with source) for D2010. I need to be able to create pdf documents (maybe from a template) and insert images and other pdf documents and send to a printer. There seem to be a few out there, I was looking for other peoples experience with these libraries and suggestions. Thanks in advance for any help given. Edited by: Ross Henderson on Aug 16, 2011 4:18 PM I recently used SynPDF But then used the PDF reporting in the SQLLite package they have, opensource and it works like a charm Including other PDF documents is not supported. Looking for a PDF library or components that creates searchable PDF files
Does anyone know of a good library that creates PDF files that are searchable? This will most likely involve some type of OCR library having to be included. Even if I have to purchase multiple components to get the job done I can live with that. I have seen several PDF libraries, but I have yet to find one that can produce searchable PDF files. TIA I presume that your PDFs are actually bitmaps, not text output to a canvas. I've used the application of ABBYY FineReader for adding OCR'd layers and it works well. They have an SDK version at http://www.abbyy.com/ocr_sdk/ (The...

does pb 9 supports pdf distiller or pdf writer using pbni
I am trying to fix an application in pb8 that uses pdf writer or pdf 995. the program currently pops with the saveas dialog. I would like to suppress that in PB8. Can individual websites be migrated (3.x to 3.x or 3.x to 4.x)?
I see the means to export a template of a website, but would like to export the entire website including content and if possible security settings including the User membership associated with that site. Any tools available anyone knows of? Tool (not Delphi) to convert PDF to WMF/EMF

Thank you, Ed Dressel > Anyone know of a tool that can make a quality conversion of a PDF document > to WMF/EMF images (one per page)? PDF Support
Please either ... 1. Native Support for printing to PDF -> no need for the ghost script driver. 2. If ghost script, please get a licenced version that allows me to package it up with the application so when the user installs the application EVERYTHING is installed - the user does not have to follow a seperate set of instructions to get the PDF functionality to work. FRUSTRATING!!! 3. CHARGE ME EXTRA for a NATIVE SOLUTION ... I WILL PAY 1,000 for this so I can include the functionality with my installation package. To me, Sybases implementation of SaveasPDF is slight...

PDF #3
hey guys, how do i display the database records and put it into a PDF file. i am using ABCpdf. but i have no idea how to do that reubenfoo  if you JUST need to display the database records then you can create Crystal Reports. you can give it a look like it shows as a simple html created file. and to put in a PDF file, you can have a server button; which would use the default buil-in functionality of Crystal Reports to export the data in PDF..Thanx, [KaushaL] || BloG || Profile || Microsoft MVP"I would love to change the world, but they won’t give me the source code"Don't...
