What time zone is used in Quality Central's report?

Hi,

I am not in the same time zone as CodeGear's server. My time zone is GMT+8. I don't understand the Date and Time in the QC report and the reply section.

Is there any time zone setting in our CDN account to make it more sensible to people like me who live in alien time zone.

You may want to ask this in the developernetwork]qualitycentral group.

QC uses PST (GMT-08:00), which is the time zone where the server is
located (Scotts Valley, CA).

You can set your time zone in your CDN account settings
(https://members.codegear.com/editaccount.aspx), but most times you'll
see on the CodeGear sites will still be in PST. Events listed on CDN
will be in your selected time zone.

Use dddw's in reports or modify report sql to avoid dddw's
Is it more efficient to use dddw's in reports or to modify the report sql to avoid the use of dddw's. I am not sure how PB deals with dddw's in reports. Is the result set of the dddw cached in memory and than used by the report or is the dddw sql integrated into the reports sql like what occurs with database views and than sent to the database? I could not find any info on the net about this. Any help would be appreciated. I only recommend using DDDWs for data entry. If you're running a report that needs to show the "description" for a "code" val...

Specify the time zone to use for a site to change from the server's
Hi, I am looking for a solution to specify the time zone to use for a .net website, which will be different from the zone set on the server. basically when I m populating a datetime field for a new record to insert into the database, it grabs DateTime. Now, and I'd like it to be ie at GMT+5 instead of GMT time, and this for the whole site (since Datetime.now will be called from various pages) Any idea? Thanks ! Hi, If you need to output the DateTime according to specific time zone, I would suggest you calculate the time when it is going to be displayed. That is: 1. Save UTC time...

What's using each CPU
Hi, I have a NW65SP7 server running with a single quad core processor, and 8GB of RAM. If I go into NRM and choose "Profiling and Debug Information", and click on "Execution Profiling by NLM", the list is empty? I was guessing this would show me which threads or processes are using which CPU's. I can see in the health monitor and then clicking on each of the 4 CPU's that they are all being used, but I was curious what NLM's are using which and perhaps an average usage stat. Is there a simple way to accomplish this? Also if I go to "View...

Using multiple DataSet's together in a RDLC Report
I am using Visual Studio 2008 and building an RDLC Report. This report uses two data sources: DataSet_A and DataSet_B. Both dataset's have a column "userId". I've created a list called List_A in the report that uses's DataSet_A as the DataSet and has Grouping based on DataSet_A.userId. Within List_A i want to print the DistinctCount of records in DataSet_B where DataSet_B.userId = DataSet_A.userId. I want to be able to use the data in DataSet_B to compute totals and averages. I tried setting DataSet_B's "Parent Group" to be =Fields!userId - bu...

here's a tech question for non-tech
I have not had occasion to want to do this before, so I'm hoping someone can enlighten me. I have an app built in D7, and it's rather complex in its functionality. Is it possible to rebuild the app to run as a service? Would that require separating the user interface from the app? Time changes based on user's time zone
Hello,Is there a way to take a date/time and change it depending on the timezone. So say I had:Dim start As DateTime = 2007-11-13 08:00:00 'This date would be taken from the databaselblDate.Text = start_time.ToString("MMM dd, yyyy h:mm tt")If I selected, say from a drop down, a timezone that was an hour ahead, how could i change the date to 2007-11-13 07:00:00 ? Thanks  http://quomon.com/question_NET_timezone_set_it_222.aspx Most of it will have to be done by manually increasing or decreasing the time based on the relation of the where the server is to the us...

What's useful and what's fluff?
I've started reading ASP.Net Unleashed and the first chapter deals w/ ASP.Net Controls (e.g.: button, label, input, etc). As I read, it got me wondering about where to best focus my attention during my migration to ASP.Net. One of the things I've experienced over the years is that development languages, especially those tied to any visual RAD interface, tend to include a bunch of "neato" type features and controls that aren't used in day to day development. Most of the time, its because these "features" are actually quite constraining and add little to no value. I'm...
