Trying to edit web form, can't get database updated with newly edited values.

 This is my code:  when I try to update any of the fields, the update statement retains the old values retrieved from the database.

Could you tell me where my code is bad?

 -Thanks,

Mark

pls use the ispostback property in Form_Load event

Protected Sub Page_Load(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs)

If Not Page.IsPostBack Then

Populate_Form()
End Sub

 Yes

 Check with ispostback

 Ex:

 If Not IsPostBack= True then

  populate_Form()

 End sub

Web Form Resized by position of the div : if div can't dispaly all (such as only top part , then web form heithten the heght),resize the web form ! Because of my pool English, if you can't see , I will explain more ! ThanksGambler is the real life I guess you mean when form grows it also grow parent div element. This is normal. If you want div to stay fixed size and rather clip the form and maybe show a scrollbar, look at overflow property in CSS.Thanks------------------------------------------------------------This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no ...

I can't get no cache, I can't get no cache. 'Cause I try and I try and I try and, I can't get no, I can't get no cache.
I have fiddled out for days tinkering with the setting in about:config trying to get FireFox 12 to use the disk cache. I have NOT found the trick. This One Trick Pony ain't doing it like it used to up until recently. Pray tell anyone, What information can I share that will point a knowledgeable person to aid me in getting FF to disk.cache? I have also tried restarting FF with add-ons disabled, (There were NOT too many to do this to, so it was quick and easy) Here is my stab at trying to convey the information that MIGHT govern matters Using about:cache Informatio...

can someone one give me difference between web form and mobile web form and which or where or when i'm using the forms?
thanks Marc Hi Marc, Based on my understanding, you want to know the differences between the ASP.NET web application and ASP.NET mobile web application. If I have misunderstood you, please feel free to let me know. The ASP.NET forms are used to develop the ASP.NET pages for desktop browsers and The ASP.NET mobile forms are used to develop the ASP.NET pages for mobile device browsers. When we create the ASP.NET mobile web forms pages, we can use nearly all the features of ASP.NET. But there are a couple of compatibility issues: Error Handling and Reporting. Tracing. Using Redi...

It's all very fuzzy now...can make web request(?) but definately can't get web response from web service
Alas...trying to get a web service response from a web service that is part of the web site in Visual Studio.Net 3.5 appears to be impossible.  Infact, I've been ALL over the internet over the past couple of days looking at all types of fragmentory examples in all types of Microsoft languages to no avail. =========QUESTION:=========1.  How do I call a web service (the function to call is "WebService_BulkData") so that my aspx page will send it a SOAP request and print out the web service response data to the page?  The aspx page AND the web service are part of t...

Can't pass value to others web forms
Can anyone please guide me how to make HyperLink Control pass values to others form? If the hyperlink is data-bound, you can configure it to pass a value as a query string. To do so, you data-bind the navigateUrl property and include a formatting expression on the Databinder.Eval call. Here's an example:<asp:hyperlink runat="server" text="Jump to another page" navigateurl='<%# Databinder.Eval(Container, "DataItem.MyValue", "targetpage.aspx?myvalue={0}") %>' /> Note that you can only pass one value this way (or at least, only on...

Passing Values from a Web Form to Another Web Form
Hello All! I am trying to pass values from one web form to another web form. I know that there are 3 ways of doing this: queryString, Server.Transfer and Session. I am using the Server.Transfer method. But I am not able to create, in my 2nd web form, an instance of my 1st web form. My 1st Web form is named CallTrack.aspx and my 2nd is named Export.aspx. What I mean is something like this: Public value as CallTrack. I can't create it in my 2nd web form because when the intellisense is displayed, there's no CallTrack in the options. Thanks!   How about using cross-...

Implementing .Net Form into an APS.net web form, can this be done
I am new here, but have been searching for a while, and may not have the correct lingo to find what I am looking for.  I am tasked with implementing a .exe application that was writen vb6 then converted to .net into a new website my team is developing. The idea is to put each of the 3 different forms in this .exe application of 3 different .aspx pages. I have attempted multiple things to get this into the page and even started to just rewrite it as an ASP.net web form, but even then I can't reuse any of the code since the System.Web.UI.Page doesn't inherit the sa...

Can't get database values to display in the default Insert form
HI, I am using a GridView and a DetailsView and would like to be able to pre-populate about half of the form fields in the Insert screen of my details view from data in my database. I am using a sqldatasource and storedprocedures (for the "getthedata" and the "insertthedata") and the functionality of those work just fine.  The only problem is that when the user clicks on the NEW link in the details view, all of the form fields are empty and I would like to pre-populate about half of them with the same data that pre-populates the EDIT screen of the details view.&nbs...

Visual Web Developer 2008 Express Edition...Can't connect to Database
Sorry to bring this topic up again....seems like such a noobie question, however I have done almost everything I can to try to connect to database through the ASP.NET Configuration and then going to  "Provider Configuration". When I first started using this program maybe a week or so ago, I had Windows XP. The only thing that I specified in my firewall was just to give access to VWD, and that was it. But recently after getting Windows Vista, I am sure it is not the operating system, I can't seem to connect to the database. This has been going on for some time now and I hav...
