Text Interpretation HTML tags not being interpreted
Hello,
I have text stored in the database field with HTML tags.
I am showing it in a crystal report - and for the field I have selected Text Interpretation as HTML Text.
However when I see the report, the HTML tags are not seen. However the text is not formatted as per HTML tags.
e.g. <b>Bold Text</b> does not show up as bold text but as simple Bold Text.
I am using Visual Studio 2005 and I believe the Crystal reports version based on info in web.config is

The text color 'Window Text' of DWO groupboxes is not the same as the text
color 'Window Text' on a window. DWO groupbox text is blue, the window
groupbox text is black (as it should be*). I can reproduce this just with
groupboxes on DWO.
Is this a known 'feature'?
BTW: I have Win XP, SP2 (with WinXP Style).
TIA,

*=The text color for 'Window Text' is black on my os-display-properties.
This is by design and a function of the XP style. Similary, you'll
see dropdown shadow SLEs have a blue border. There is ...

Encoding <br> and <p> tags for text input
Hello all,
I am making a form where a user can type an article and submit it to a database. (Access) However, I cannot include line breaks or paragraphs. The text all runs together.
I believe I can use the HtmlEncode function to remedy this. Also setting ValidateRequest to "False".
Can someone help me with the syntax code for this in VB.NET?
I think it is something like this:
Dim sb as StringBuilder = new StringBuilder(
HttpUtility.HtmlEncode(htmlInputTxt.Text));
sb.Replace("<b>", "<br>")
Response.Write(sb.ToString())

Web Control with <abc:Control>TEXT HERE</abc:Control>
I'm trying to create a custom web control and support putting stuff in the middle - between the openning and closing tags:
<abc:Control>TEXT HERE</abc:Control>
I would like to be able to put both text and other web controls between the tags. How do I do this?
hi,
why not the normal web user control? It also works fine.
Maybe it is hard to create a control with the openning and closing tags...
