Setting font and color properties of Label control on Client side using js dont retain on postback

Hi,

I'm setting a few styles and text properties on a label control on the client side using DOM. When I post back the page, I do not see any of those changes. What is the easiest way to rtain those changes even upon page postback??

Thanks

Take a look at this article:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/dnaspp/html/dhtmlobjectmodel2.asp

It has a whole section on persisting client-side state.

All the while I played with this kinda functionality by having hidden fields retain the changes I'm applying on the Controls on the Client side, but was wondering if there wud be any other easier methods to see what I'm expecting to see in the end ie the control with the changes applied on Client side, after a post back. I saw the article but, not quite sure if it answered my question. Any more help on this?? My question is related to a label control.

I have a web user control being used by another web user control, but the one being used will not display the labels in the resx file.
I am using DotNetNuke version 3.13 (might be 3.013) on a Window's XP machine, SP2. I have what I find to be an extremely odd situation. I have a project called TDS.Controls. This project is a web control library. Each control has its own resx file, which is located in the App_LocalResources directory. Each control inherits from Framework.UserControlBase, just like DotNetNuke's User control in DNN\Controls\User.ascx.vb. As a matter of fact, this control is doing the exact same thing I am trying to do. It is a web user control with its own resx file being used by another web user control (See ...

web forms with client and server side controls??
Hi, I have a form that has client and server side controls. I have a problem in that any client controls (textbox) within the form runat="server" can not be accessed with client side code. Anyone got any ideas why and what work arounds are possible. Regards, Graham. once a form element is inside a <FORM> tag, you can no longer refer to it by its ID alone. you have to refer to it by formname.elementid or document.all.elementid. use document.getElementById(yourtextboxid) to get a ref to the element in the form. using this allows u to bypass the formn...

Hello everyone, I'm fairly new to ASP.NET and I'm trying to find the best solution to this problem I'm having.  I believe ultimately what I need to be able to do is change the ImageUrl value via javascript of an ImageButton.  A small example of what I'm working on can be found here in a javascript form:http://www.msu.edu/~sebenic3/This is a simple data input method for a survey. There are three distinct columns, when you select a number within a column it will change the .gif image to show it's selected and then populate the textbox with that value.  I...

Set server control property from client side javascript?
I need to be able to set a server control property from clientside javascript and then have the property persist through a postback. Specifically,I need to set the imageUrl property of an imagebutton control. I've tried using the following code in javascript but it doesn't work: document.getElementById('ImageButton1').ImageUrl = 'path_to_image'; this above code doesn't generate any errors and I can step through it fine in the debugger, but it doesn't actually set the imageUrl property. I am able to set the imageurl property successfully with the following code, but it doesn't ...
