ie web controls not working in mozilla and ie 7!
Hi all!
Is there any way to make ie web controls work in mozilla and ie 7?
(especially the multipage control)
Thanks in advance!
IE Web Controls are no longer under active development and are not supported by Microsoft. As far as I know nobody has made them work in Mozilla or IE7.If you have the ability to install ASP.NET 2.0, you can use the MultiView control. Check out this article. Quite simply, IE6 is a piece of trash when it comes to standards compliance (i.e. CSS, javascript, and the like). A quick google will give you some starting points to look at, but I'm afraid there'...

Validations not working in Netscape 7.x but they are working in IE 6.x
Best Regards,
Vivek Singh
Hi,
do you mean the ASP.NET validation controls client side functions? Because only IE 5+ are considered an uplevel browser the client side validation will work. Other browsers are considered downlevel (this can be adjusted in the machine.config btw) so the webuivalidation.js doesn't get submitted to the client. Validation will allways occur though but only on the server side. Besides that I also believe that other browsers aren't capable of understanding the jscript that gets shipped with...

What exacting do you mean by not working?
Do you mean that the input is not being validated? Make sure that you have then enabled.
If you are using VS, then
right click on your project
go to properties
Common Properties
Designer Defaults
and make sure that the drop down list says at least IE 5.0.
If you mean that the validation is causing a postback, then this is what is meant to happen. This is because of the javascript that ASP.NET passes to validate the input.Intel...

HoverMenuExtender not work working with IE 6
First, I did search for this problem and found what looks to be the same issue...http://forums.asp.net/thread/1549447.aspxBasically, I have a HME control that is supposed to popup when hovering over a link control. It works just fine in Firefox and IE 7. But, in IE 6, it appears in the upper left of the browser. The solution was to point to the new version of the control toolkit. Well, how do I do that other than replacing bin/AjaxControlToolkit.dll with the latest version? I did that---version 1.0.10201.0 is what I'm using.I also took the appropriate steps as m...

You can only have one IE engine installed at a time. If you install
IE7, that's what IEtab uses.

IE (6 & 7) iFrame Querystring Parameters Set In .NET MVC Page Not Working, Seemed Stripped, But Appear In Tact On Page Source
We're using .NET MVC, and we're trying to dynamically (through the controller) set the iFrame's URL. This worked fine on FireFox and Chrome, but not Ie. On Ie only the first case site lets the user log through correctly. The v10 and v9 sites don't. All sites use querystring params to log in. Their source looks like this (unsuccessful source in IE) - no visible difference.
* Also, we tried that whole IE7 Security setting Enabled for navigating to frame within another domain - that wasn't the problem; it still doesn't work. Also doesn't work on IE6. Same results ...
