Build errors message but no errors in Error List
I am using VB.Net in Visual Web Developer Express. When I press F5 to run my application I get the 'There were build errors. Wouild you like to continue and run the last successful build?' message. I select 'No', and, if the Error List window was shut it opens, but there are no errors listed in it. I'm sure this has worked before. Is there another way of finding errors?
According to Help | About I am using version 8.0.50727.42.
Thanks for any help.
One of the things with the error window is you can selectively display errors, warnings and messages. I...Hide Errors from Visual Studio 2005 Error List
Hi,In Visual Studio, I have various items in my error list such as: Error 20 File 'images/myIcon16.gif' was not found. Actually, that path is correct - the error doesnt stop my project from building, but it is annoying me, and I want to hide these kind of errors from the list. How can I choose what to show/hide in the errors list? TaChris.

I am new to visual studio 2005. When i build my project the maximum no. of errors that is displayed in the error window is 102, even if the error is around 200. How to see all the errors in the error list/error window? Is there any setting that is available in 2005? If so how to set it? Pls help.
There is no setting for this in VS, although, I believe, there a compiler command line switch. However, typically compiler stops outputting errors after 100 or so since if there are too many errors, there is a high probability that many of them simply duplicates of another error. For example, miss...Error:Visual Studio .NET cannot create or open the application. The likeliest problem is that required components are not installed on the local Web server. I installed the IIS 5.0 after VS.Net 2003 (1.1). after that I did run the aspnet_regiis -i at the visual studio command prompt.

But when I tried to copy an web application created at shared PC into the wwwroot folder, I get the following error while trying to open the project in VS.Net. I've created the virtual directory for the project and also set the integrated windows authentication under the directory security tab in the IIS.

Okay, all I wanted to do was test this app out and it has been a nightmare.
1.) Didn't install the sql database. I had to manually install it.
2.) I get errors when trying to add a picture to an album.

Any ideas? I've gotten more errors than this, but there is no use in bitchin.
Are you using the v1.6.1 installer? Also, did you select to install the SQL Server db and give it a valid admin login? What were some of the error messages? Did you have an existing DB from a previous install?

I am attempting to install the AJAX toolkit, and following the video except I am using Visual Studio Beta 2008 (but I don't believe that the problem is necessarily related to the 2008 version). According to this: http://www.asp.net/aj...Compilation error after installing Visual Studio 2008 SP1 (Make sure that the class defined in this code file matches the 'inherits' attribute)
I've just installed SP1 for Visual Studio 2008, and on my ASP .NET 2 project I now get this error where before it used to compile:
Make sure that the class defined in this code file matches the 'inherits' attribute, and that it extends the correct base class (e.g. Page or UserControl).
I've tried Google but none of the solutions relate to me as it's just a standard ASP .NET page. Infact every time I compile the error crops up on a different page (but only one error is ever shown in the list).
Any ideas?Thanks in advance,

I'm new to DotNetNuke and trying to get my first DotNetNuke Site up and running. I downloaded 3.1.1 and got it installed and working - was able to use the site and make portals and modifications. I then went and opened the source code as I wanted to try and create a new module. I had a couple reference errors (CountryListBox, DotNetNuke.WebControls, DotNetNuke.WebUtility) that I cleared up by removing and re-adding them (based on another forum message). Now the code builds correctly (still no modifications by me, I have not changed anything at this point), but when I ...
