windows forms in vb .net into web forms
we are creating a database driven website as part of our project. currently we have forms connecting to the database created in visual basic. these windows forms we need to convert into web forms which are asp .net compatible. can u give me an answer or show me a way.
because of the difference in nature between web and win applications you'll need to reimplement at least the UI part. If you have a multitiered application in which the busines logic and data access are in different parts/assemblies you can reuse them.

I am new here, but have been searching for a while, and may not have the correct lingo to find what I am looking for.
I am tasked with implementing a .exe application that was writen vb6 then converted to .net into a new website my team is developing. The idea is to put each of the 3 different forms in this .exe application of 3 different .aspx pages. I created a windows Service and i did following steps.>>protected override void OnStart(string args)

I add the service installer and to start service i opened a command prompt then i typed installutil path/serviceproj.exe.
And i started the service from Mycomputer->Manage.
But windows service is not showing the form.Everyone is telling windows service not support UI.Its a background thing. So Form is not showing

I need help about calling a web form from a window form. i don't know if this is possible but if it possible please give me some help, any kind of help.
Usually you can open any exe from within the windows form, and to do so, you could open the iexplorer.exe and give it the url of the webform to run it.

Hello, everyone! I have a solution which contains a windows project,a web service project and several other library projects. These projects were coded under visual c#.net 2003. Now I need to converted them to use Visual Studo.net 2005. Does any one know any article providing step-by-step guide to converting WINDOWS APPLICATION with web service? I can find one under MSDN for converting web project. But I guess I am a little confused if mine should follow this article since I am using web service in my windows application?

you can check this article out: Hosting a Windows Control in a Web Form. This shows only how to host the control. If you want interaction with the client you can do this by setting the correct CAS (Code Access Security) settings on the client pc.

OK, this has probably been asked before...
I'm a student looking to cut my costs, and I can do this by just purchasing Visual Basic.NET as opposed to the fully-fledged Visual Studio.NET application.
Of course, I'll only be able to program in VB, but that's fine with me. I wanted to know if all of the ASP.NET specific options are available, such as using a WYSIWYG editor?
I'd also like to know if VB.NET has IntelliSense, or that's a specific option only available to Visual Studio.NET users.

Well, if I've grasped your question right, there are many methods to do that:
1)Response.Redirect > To navigate to another page from code and is equal to clicking a hyperlink. I suggest this as I think it's closer to your question.
