Hi,

Could you elaborate on what you're having trouble with? It sounds to me like you're trying to get the SSL Cert from Verisign installed on IIS. Is this the case?

I had it installed but how am i going to interact it with my interface? i mean when i'm accessing buy.aspx page, how am i going to make it become https://localhost/eg/buy.aspx instead of http://localhost/eg/buy.aspx?

But my stages of installing the cert on the last stage was unable to do!

If you've got the certificate installed, then you should be able to access the server via https. You may want to try using the FQDN for the server rather than localhost.

Secure connections: how secure are they?
*QUOTE* ......... both useful and malicious information can be transmitted via network connections. Standard solutions protect computers against threats present in standard network connections, but aren't able to counter threats present in secure connections. Verifying the contents of a secure connection is impossible by virtue of its secure nature, as demonstrated by the different types of protection listed above. As a result, malicious data within secure channels can cause a significant amount of damage, and sometimes more than if it were to be transmitted via a standard, non-s...

I'm trying, but no progress. I work with Delphi 2010 and Indy 10 components. I use on the server side one: TidTCPServer and TIdServerIOHandlerSSLOpenSSL and part of the client: TIdTCPClient and TIdSSLIOHandlerSocketOpenSSL Information is received in OnExecute but I can not read it, I try using ReadLn and readByte, but the program crashes. opening SSL, security, (authorize.net)
Did enyone have to create a script to process credit cards using the AIM method through the AuthorizeNet gateway? I'm a little bit lost. There are few things I must do and never done before: [e.g. open a SSL connection between my hosting server and their gateway and then post the data (credit card number, name, etc..) using a script.] I used HTML forms to post data but never a script. Also, what about the safety concern of the following scenario: 1. My site displays a form to gather credit card info 2. Then posts to my script 3. My script sends that data and the transaction ...

Connect to LAN (Was connect to NET)
Almost time for a new header, the old was getting too long and the focus is now different. So .... Story so far - Mepis 6 - setting LAN IP would upset external site addressing but the ISP hung in there without dropping the line. I have, at last, succeeded in connecting to the web via dial up AND keeping it running while seeing a LAN. I can't point directly to what I did but I did keep notes along the way as to what NOT to touch. Call it pure luck, deft fingerwork, incantations and imprecations. Next problem - 5 PC's. Secure SSL connection to secnews.netscape.com. How?

It says: "SeaMonkey can't connect securely to secnews.netscape.com because the site uses a security protocol which isn't enabled" The question now is, what security protocol is meant here? In Preferences -> Privacy & Security -> SSL I have both SSL version options active. When I now also enable "Use secure connection (SSL)" in the secnews.netscape.com Server Settings, which appears to be logical, I get said message. Leaving it unchecked, ...

I just switched from Netzero (opens IE w/o option) to another ISP. The Mail and News Groups preferences has options in "Use Secure Connection" of SSL or Never. Is this an important thing?
