For some reason, when using System.net.mail, I can't authenticate through my server's mail app (mailEnable). I can, however, authenticate using system.web.mail, but need the HTML capabilites of system.net.mail. I'm using the methods described on http://aspnet.4guysfromrolla.com/articles/072606-1.aspx, but with no luck. I even uploaded their sample code. It works when I use a local from address, but as soon as the address isn't local, it doesn't allow the authentication. I have recently switched from sending mail using the system.web.mail namespace, to the new system.net.mail. I have gotten it to send mail successfully, but noticed a glitch. I used to get notified (at the “From” address) from the smtp server if the recipient address was an invalid domain or an unknown user (see example below). Now that I have switched to using system.net.mail, I no longer get notified of an invalid domain. I do like the exceptions that get thrown for malformed email addresses (which didn’t happen with system.web.mail), but I’m concerned about the above. I have tested bo...System.Net.Mail Problem (I think)
I have a C# application whose sole purpose is to read a couple of tables (MAIL_QUEUE and MAIL_RECIPIENTS) in a database and send out emails. One table contains the message text, and subject line (MAIL_QUEUE). The other table (MAIL_RECIPIENTS) contains the recipient email address and any CC and BCC addresses. Anyway, when this application is deployed on the customers server there seems to be some issue with the number of CC addresses that can be specified in the email address. I can specify 99 CC addresses and the email gets sent out successfully. As soon as I add one more (for....net 2 beta 2 - System.Net.Mail

If so, where can I view a list of known bugs an...net.mail problem, is it too difficult to handle?
I'm not sure where to add this post as it seems to cover a lot, considering it also has to do with AJAX. No one is able to help solve this issue in other forumz and my question mostly goes unanswered. So I will see if I can get help from the experts in asp.net forum, my last stop.

Last night after a bit of "fun and games" I managed to get my website http://www.alex-parks.org/ upgraded to .NET Framework 2.0 on GoDaddy. And generally I'm happy.Unfortunately though sending emails using System.Net.Mail doesn't work, so the site can't send out emails when people register etc. Obviously this has to be addressed. At the moment I have "smtpout.secureserver.net" with port 80 set on the SMTPClient object (I have to set *something* or there is an error message that says SMTP server is not specified), and the error message I get is "Request for the permission of t...
