I'm guessing the machine the email is read from doesn't have the required fonts installed. Not everyone installs arabic fonts by default. The best you can do is to use standard unicodewhen sending the mail.

Make sure you're using the System.Net.Mail namespace. System.Web.Mail is obsolete.

Try these (with System.Net.Mail):

MailMessage msg = new MailMessage();

msg.BodyEncoding = System.Text.Encoding.Unicode;

msg.SubjectEncoding = System.Text.Encoding.Unicode;

And then also try setting:

msg.IsBodyHtml = true;

[be sure to send an html body in that case, but the encodings shoud do it.]

If that doesn't work, try seeing if you can send arabic mail from the mail provider you're using (i.e. from the browser and not from your app).

mm.Fields.Add("http://schemas.microsoft.com/cdo/configuration/smtpauthenticate", "1"); //basic authentication

mm.Fields.Add("http://schemas.microsoft.com/cdo/configuration/sendusername", "username"); //set your username here

mm.Fields.Add("http://schemas.microsoft.com/cdo/configuration/sendpassword", "password");

Problem with system.net.mail and smtp
I have recently switched from sending mail using the system.web.mail namespace, to the new system.net.mail. I have gotten it to send mail successfully, but noticed a glitch. I used to get notified (at the “From” address) from the smtp server if the recipient address was an invalid domain or an unknown user (see example below). Now that I have switched to using system.net.mail, I no longer get notified of an invalid domain. I do like the exceptions that get thrown for malformed email addresses (which didn’t happen with system.web.mail), but I’m concerned about the above. I have tested bo...

System.Net.Mail Problem (I think)
Hi, I have a C# application whose sole purpose is to read a couple of tables (MAIL_QUEUE and MAIL_RECIPIENTS) in a database and send out emails. One table contains the message text, and subject line (MAIL_QUEUE). The other table (MAIL_RECIPIENTS) contains the recipient email address and any CC and BCC addresses. Anyway, when this application is deployed on the customers server there seems to be some issue with the number of CC addresses that can be specified in the email address. I can specify 99 CC addresses and the email gets sent out successfully. As soon as I add one more (for...

If so, where can I view a list of known bugs an...

net.mail problem, is it too difficult to handle?

I've successfully used net.mail before, but not like this. (note, using Visual Basic) I have a form with a dropdownlist, gridview, and formview (formview2), with a second formview(formview3). The formview2 provides for information with what's selected in the gridview. The formview3 has an asp:ima...

Problem with System.Net.Mail on GoDaddy
Last night after a bit of "fun and games" I managed to get my website http://www.alex-parks.org/ upgraded to .NET Framework 2.0 on GoDaddy.  And generally I'm happy.Unfortunately though sending emails using System.Net.Mail doesn't work, so the site can't send out emails when people register etc.  Obviously this has to be addressed.At the moment I have "smtpout.secureserver.net" with port 80 set on the SMTPClient object (I have to set *something* or there is an error message that says SMTP server is not specified), and the error message I get is "Request for the permission of t...
