CATALook Store Module -> where do the module settings get stored?
I'm doing some research work using the demo version of the CATALook store module - in particular, to get the desired effect, I need to create a separate page for each advanced category, in order to display more information about that category (in this case, I'm doing an advanced category for each brand the store sells).
This results in quite a few pages, which is not much of a problem in itself - but with DNN sites I normally setup the site on my local machine, then do a SQL Migration to the web host, thus transferring across all the settings and not having to create the site twice.

I think there is some support for Delphi in .Net.
However, you will find much more support from the user community if you choose a more popular language such as VB.Net or C#. Since your al...
Getting Started with DotNetNuke
I have successfully installed the software, created and connected to the database. When I go to the Default.aspx page it takes me to the "Welcome to DotNetNuke..." page.
It says: "Select the Host tab to manage multiple portals as the Host.", but there is no Host tab. Where do I go from here?
Also, is there a development environment in DotNetNuke? If so, how do I get to it?
Thanks.

If you want to develope web applications, then you'll also need IIS on your PC. That'll require XP-Professional or Windows 2000/2003, but XP-Home edition won't allow IIS installation.
As for how to get started, you can search the web for some tutorials or buy a good book on VS. The topic is way too vast to...
Where to start and how did you get started?Hi, I have had a feeling for a long time to jump into the adds market for some time due to my low income (shooting for the stars) and I don't have anything better to do these days. But I find it really difficult not to give up due to lack of guides (what I can find atleast) and all the hard words which only makes me confused. But I won't give up. Never. Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I deffinitly would be really greatfull for help getting started. How did you get started?

How to set Thunderbird to start or to not start when Windows starts?New to this forum, and got only a week's worth of topics.
I have recently migrated Thunderbird from XP to Vista, but I still use
the XP workstation and want to keep Thunderbird on it, but I don't want
it to start each time at boot up.
Can someone tell me how to prevent Thunderbird from starting when
Windows starts in WinXP ? I have looked in the registry, in the
profiles.ini and in the Thunderbird help section.
Also, how to set it up to start when Vista starts?
Thanks.

Getting started with JScript.NET
I'm a Javascript and Actionscript developer, and the thought of being able to do server-sides in something I know was too good to resist. Does anyone know some good tutorials for developing ASP.NET pages in JScript? I can find lots of console code, but simple things are hard: like I can't even figure out how to print something out to the web page (just a string). What I'm really trying to do is access a database, verify a login, and print JSON out to the response. What should I do to start? Is there a better way to do this? (IE: using some JSON library already?). I'm commun...
How do I get started with AJAX.Net?

Getting Started with .net and a few questions
Hello I've done some asp and php programming along with various other languages in the past and slowing getting my head around .net.I have a small project of creating a Holiday Booking system on our Intranet and just trying to get the first part to work properly will hopefully get me sorted for the whole project. The Intranet is running on .net 2 and I prefer to use the VB code rather than C#. This is connecting to an SQL server. My initial page that I am trying to create is just for an admin user to view which dates in a table have been specified as Bank Holidays and be able to add ...

DotNetNuke
Hi,I got a request about redesigning a static webpage, with a simple shoppingcart. The customer also wants a forum, another layout, and as mentioned, a new design.I wonder if I might as well should tempt him with the DotNetNuke CMS?How much work will it be to install/configure it?- Estimated in hours for download, unpack, upload, configure and install. He currently has only about 6 or 7 pages, but as I said, they are static!eg. If I am to redesign his current pages, I will have to edit all of the pages! Also, I would have to install a forum and implement that forum. My guess, would be that if Do...
Has anyone created a custom module that had a set of global settings for all instances of that module type?
I am in the process of attempting to convert some asp pages on my intranet to DNN modules Let me start with a brief overview of my understanding of modules to make sure I am on the right track. Each instance of a module has the ability to configure its own settings and each module instance has its own data. The definition of a module is stored in the module definitions table, when a module is added to a tab a record is inserted into the modules table and any settings are added into the modulesettings table.
Ok....so what is the best way to create a module that will never have its own ...
