WebSite (.NET 1.1) Deployment Tools
Hello,I would like to get some recommendations from everybody about a deployment tool for ASP.NET 1.1 Web Sites.The main idea here is that the users should be able to install the on their PC using simple installation.Something like clicking Next all the time .I know, you can say - use .NET 2/3 etc. But due to occasions I cannot control I have to use .NET 1.1.So the basic requirements for such deployment tool would be:Not expensive or free.Register WebSite(s) in IIS.Add assemblies to GAC.Create Database.Restore Database from backup.Execute SQL scripts against Database.Modify web.c...Error when trying to use website admin tool using .net 3.5
When I use either the icon or the website menu to get to the configuration tool - it simply never shows up. the localhost for my site starts(as tho i had pressed debug), and then another localhost starts for the web config. Neither of these starts trigger a browser to open. if I click the localhost and go to them manually, the page functions fine, and the config reports "An error was encountered. I am using Visual Web Developer 2005 Express. I am trying to set up user authentication for a site.
I have read several things that say to go to the Website menu and then choose the Administration Tool to diplay this tool. I do not see a Website menu on my screen in VWDE. How do I access this with Visual Web Developer Express? Thanks to everyone that has ever helped me with any posts.
You have to choose the authentication mode to "Forms" in the web.config -file.
You are now able to run the website admin tool now - open the menu ...[PATCH lib/Net/Config.pm, MANIFEST, t/lib/Mock/Socket.pm, lib/Net/Config.t] Add Tests for Net::Config
Here's a test suite for Net::Config. In the process of writing this, I've
fixed an apparent bug that prevented single values from becoming array
references when necessary. I think it's right, but perhaps Graham should weigh
in on this.
In the process, with some advice from perl-qa, I've added a mock object so the
test could control the output of Socket::inet_ntoa() and Socket::inet_aton().
t/lib/Mock/ seemed like as good a place as any.
I'm happy to rework this patch if it personally offends anyone whose opinion

Hi there, I've just uploaded by website to the hosting box, but when I browse to the page I get the following error:An error has occurred while establishing a connection to

My ASP.NET application runs fine within the VS2005 IDE; but, when I deploy to my local machine to try to run it under IIS and calling it up in a browser, I'm getting the following exception:

I’m trying to deploy my website but I have a problem. I use mapped drive to the server to deploy my simple web page as a part of another website created via dream weaver. Dream weaver pages work fine but my page which I created using ASP.net 2008 is not working. I keep receiving this message Runtime Error Description: An application error occurred on the server. The current custom error settings for this application prevent the details of the application error from being viewed remotely (for security reasons). It could, however, be viewed by browsers running on the local server machine. Deta...A Net::Config problem
I have never been able to set up "Net::Config" properly, and, for the
life of me, I can't figure out what I am doing wrong.
According to the "Net::Config" manual:
"Net::Config" holds configuration data for the modules in the
libnet distribuion. During installation you will be asked for
The configuration data is held globally in a file in the perl
installation tree, but a user may override any of these values by
providing their own. This can be done by having a ".libnetrc" file

I have a site which I run on my local IIS. It has some (very) basic security and does some simple stuff - nothing complex. This all ran fine until yesterday, when upon attempting to login I got an error like this -
Parser Error Message: Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation.
So I removed the security features (it was a custom MembershipProvider, so I figured that I had probably done something stupid in my code). So far so good, until I direct to the page that was previously secured. Now this page had a graph on it (the web based ZedGraph control). However this no longer...deploying a .net website

Recently, I managed to deploy my webpages using IIS (WIndows XP, ASP .Net 2.0), but I encountered a few problems:
> The first page displayed after deploying my webpages is the login page, but I tried all the user names and passwords that I created but they can't work. I tried looking in the webconfig file for the <membership> tags where the applicationName attribute has to be changed, but I did not see any <membership> tags even though I used the ASP .Net Configuration wizard to set up the users and passwords.

I'm currently working on a dotnet web application and here is the problem I have:
On my computer (french version of xp pro), I have my webserver installed. Inside one of my webpages, I open an XML file
who is located on the root website:
XmlDocument _XmlParametres = new XmlDocument( );
_XmlParametres.Load( "Parametres.xml" );
I don't put a path before the name of the xmlfile so it opens the file in the root website. If I build a setup, put my

I'm first wanting to use the personal website starter kit to get a feel for things. In following the welcome page, I am to create a user. I run the project as instructed, goto the Security tab, but it complains about unable to connect to database. In posting this message, I started over to replicate the problem, and now I get timeouts and complaining about connecting to SQLExpress? The error starts out saying "SQLExpress database file auto-creation error". I didnt change anything to make it start timing out to even get to the admin tool to start this out. ...
