.NET 1.0 books and .NET 1.1 books. Does it matter ??
Hello, I want to buy a book that is good to learn asp.net. I have seen some good books on ASP.NET in the book store, but some of them are for .NET 1.0 and not the current 1.1.
Does it make that big of a difference if the asp.net book is 1.0 and not 1.1 ????
Someone please help me as I have to do quite a bit of driving to go review and purchase a book. I need to leave in about an hour so if someone know the answer, please respond, asap.
Sincerely, Amy Daynou

I got a nice chance to review a recently released .NET Security book and I thoroughly enjoyed the Job. At the outset, I found that this book is basically intended for Intermediate-Advanced developers who have a good working knowledge of .NET and ASP.NET. The authors have made a great effort to present the complicated material in a very lucid manner. This book is divided into ten chapters and 5 appendixes.

No, it is not possible. DW .NET has an unmanaged code layer that is
not applicable to CE .NET.

.Net windows service in windows cluster environment
Hi,We have many servers setup as a cluster. When one server crashes, anotherone take the relay... We want to know if it's possible (I suppose it is) tomake a Windows service developed with .NET 2.0 ( C #) work in a clusterenvironment. I mean, how to make sure the service will take the relay if oneserver fails. Is there something special to do or it will work by itself?(I'm not personally used to clusters)
Since your question is related to a Windows service and not ASP.NET, I recommend you post on the MSDN Forums.Ryan Ryan OlshanASPInsider | Microsoft MVP, ASP.NEThttp://ryanols...

Workflow in .NET??
I'm looking for advice/ideas on developing an application to manage a "workflow" process. This would be used internally by employees to submit, review and approve documents that need to flow thru the organization. Depending upon how a document is submitted, it may require three or four approvals, and if it is "denied", it would need to flow back thru the system at various points. Have you ever developed anything like this? Never make important decisions on a Monday!
Have you taken a look at Workflow Foundation: http://msdn.microsoft.com...
