TabContainer's height doesn't respecting child GridView's height

Well, it's not that complex:

I have a TabContainer with 4 tabs. In the first 2 I have different GridViews, but I'm actually only working with the first one.

There's no UpdatePanel, no crazy situations, it's a simple GridView with an associated ObjectDataSource, wich will DataBind the GridView in every PostBack (yes, normal, simple, server-side PostBack) based on the value of a TextBox. And this value is only changed on the click of a ImageButton. All of this happens on the Server side.

BUT, in the initial load of the page, the GridView is empty, as is the TabPanel. After the first click of the ImageButton, the GridView is updated, but the TabPanel doesn't follow it's content, keeping the look of being empty.

The other tabs are filled with a HTML <table> (the GridView also renders a <table> element) and look ok, even after changing the active tab, when I get back to the first, it looks weird.

Well, one somewhen said one image says more than a thousand words, so take a look:

The data of the GridView is based on the text of thar first textbox (with the "A" besides), and this text is changed after the click on that magnifier.

Anyone have an idea?

Thanks

This seems to be related to the GridView's HorizontalAlign property, I've just discovered it.

When it's set to Left or Right, the bug happens, when it's NotSet, Center or Justify looks OK . Tongue Tied

Also, when it's Left or Right, putting the GridView inside a Panel seems to fix the look, yet it's strange.

GridView doesn't refresh it's schema after the object data source's GetData() method returns additional fields .
Hi . I am creating an ASP.NET web site and have the following problem :  I have a GridView which bound to the object data source. This object data source is SQL Table adapter that I added to the data set via IDE . The method GetData of this table adapter uses existing stored procedure on my SQL 2005 server. Everything worked fine , until I made a changes to the stored procedure ( the new result records have additional fields )  .  The problem is :   The new fields don’t appear in the grid . Note : When I right click to the GetData method inside the tabl...

Setting a panel's height to the height of it's parent control
How do I go about getting a panel to be the same height and width of the cell of the GridView or table that it is in?  I was under the impression that if you set the height of the panel to be 100%, then it would become 100% of the parent control.  In this case, I would assume that the parent control would be the cell that it is housed in. When I do this, it makes my entire GridView or table (I've tried both) grow in heighth by a dramatic amount.  I just want the panel to be the same height as the cell when they are each at their minimum height (based on the lines of text ...

Why Doesn't KDE's NetworkManager Widget Have A 'Connect' Option?
Why is there no option in NetworkManager to actually connect, or disconnect, to a network? I set up local wifi here, on 12.1, while I was using KWallet. Then, when I became annoyed with KKWallet's incessant requests for my password, I turned it off. Apparently, that threw Network Manager for a loop, because at reboot a "Secrets" popup appeared demanding a password, but refused to accept any keystrokes. I say "apparently" because the little popup was devoid of any text that might explain its presence. All this in spite of the fact that the WPA password for ...
